Pure Cycle Corp. (PCYO) announced that effective July 1, 2006, it will raise water tap fees to $16,840 from $14,740, a 14% increase. In addition, Pure Cycle's monthly water usage rates will increase an average of 3%. Wastewater taps fees of $4,883 and monthly wastewater fees of $34.80 will remain unchanged. [ more ]

The shares of Pure Cycle were up over 12% today on the news of this rate increase.

YORW.gif York Water Co. (YORW) announced today that the Company has achieved yet another all-time high financial performance in 2005. The Company posted the highest ever operating revenues, operating income, earnings and earnings per share. Improved revenues, operating income and earnings are attributed to customer growth and increased rates, which became effective November 9, 2004.

President and CEO Osman reported that the operating revenues of $26.8 million were up 19.1% and that earnings of $5.8 million increased 10.0% compared to 2004.

During the year, the Company incurred over $15.6 million on construction projects, primarily on its water facilities to expand its service territory and serve new customers. During 2005, the Company installed over 150,000 feet of pipe to extend its distribution system.

Operating revenues for the fourth quarter increased $0.6 million or 9.8% over the fourth quarter of 2004. Net income for the fourth quarter decreased $0.045 million or 3.1% compared to the fourth quarter 2004. Decreased earnings during the fourth quarter of 2005 compared to the fourth quarter of 2004 are attributed to increases in wages, the cost of employee benefits and depreciation expense. [ more ]

Worldwater Corp (WWAT) announced the signing of an agreement to introduce WorldWater & Power's solar energy and technology to the NAI Global network of commercial property managers and clients.

According to the terms of the agreement, NAI will help to identify prospects for the purchase of equipment, electric power or services from WorldWater & Power. In addition, NAI may assist in negotiating such purchases and in obtaining governmental approvals necessary for the construction of projects designed by WorldWater & Power that NAI has been instrumental in arranging. (CCC) announced that it has completed the sale of the assets of its premium charcoal and derivatives business to local management and an investor group located in the northern part of Germany. Based on a foreign exchange rate of 1.19 dollars per euro, the purchase price consisted of $19.1 million in cash and is subject to a potential working capital adjustment. Watts Water Technologies 4Q Earnings Up
The company earned $15 million, or 45 cents per share, up 83 percent from $8.2 million, or 25 cents per share, during the same period a year ago. Aqua Dyne Inc. (AQDY.OB) announces the acquisition of an exclusive licence to market the COMENERGY Hybrid Coal and Gas Turbine (HCGT) technology throughout North America. This unique technology is an Industry breakthrough, utilising waste coal and fugitive methane emissions to generate electrical energy. The HCGT technology will significantly reduce the environmental impacts of coal mining by lowering fugitive methane emissions from underground mines, reducing water polluting acid run-off and by reducing gaseous emissions from waste coal stockpiles. 2005 Highlights

* Net sales were a record $216,654,000 for 2005, a 5.7% increase from sales of $205,010,000 in 2004.
* Net earnings were a record $13,253,000 for 2005, up 37.6% from earnings of $9,633,000 in the prior year.
* Diluted earnings per share were a record $1.89, a 33.1% increase from earnings of $1.42 per share in 2004.

Fourth Quarter 2005 Highlights

* Net sales were $50,596,000 for the fourth quarter of 2005, a 4.3% increase from sales of $48,518,000 for the same period in 2004.
* Net earnings were $1,727,000 for the fourth quarter of 2005, a 111.4% increase from earnings of $817,000 for the fourth quarter of 2004.
* Diluted earnings per share doubled in the fourth quarter of 2005 to $0.24, from diluted earnings per share of $0.12 for the fourth quarter of 2004. [ more ]

YORW.gif York Water Co. (YORW) announced they have entered into an agreement to acquire the water system of Abbottstown Borough which serves approximately 400 customers in Adams County, Pennsylvania. The agreement is subject to the approval of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Following acquisition, the Company will serve the customers of the Borough by using York Water's fully filtered and treated water supply. This treated water supply will be provided through a main which will be constructed by York Water to interconnect with the Borough's existing distribution facilities. The interconnection is expected to be completed by September 1, 2006. After September 1, 2006, the residents and businesses of the Abbottstown Borough will enjoy "That good York water."

This acquisition marks the Company's first entry into the growing Adams County region, one of the fastest growing regions in Pennsylvania.

SJW Corp. (SJW) announced that its Board of Directors approved in its meeting on January 31, 2006 a two-for-one split on SJW Corp. common stock. As a result of the stock split, shareholders of record on March 2, 2006 will receive one additional common share for every share held on that date. has received approval to deploy component modules of the JetWater Thermal Desalination system to a site adjacent to Lake Liddell in the Upper Hunter region of New South Wales, Australia. The JetWater Thermal module will be tested and monitored over a three month trial program.
